Our next meeting is Thursday, June 5th, 6:30 PM, in the Computer Lab of the Boise Public Library, Capital Blvd, across from Julie Davis Park. On the Agenda, we will take a look at TrueCrypt 5.1 for Ubuntu Linux. A few months back, we looked at setting up encrypted volumes and it was pretty complex. TrueCrypt makes it easy. Also, as time permits, we will take a look at some of the presentations made at LinuxFest Northwest. As always, there will be time for networking and a time for discussion of topics of interest. We had a good meeting with 8 in attendance. Clint thoroughly went over TrueCrypt including the various GUI's available and the nuances of each along and for the second half of the evening, gave us a running commentary on Jesse Keating's "Sneak Peek at Fedora 9" presentation slides from Linuxfest Nortwest 2008. The Sneak Peek detailed much of the philosophy behind Fedora 9 as well as the new features and improvements. Clint had hoped to play Jesse's video in conjunction with the slides but could not get the video at the Library. It was decided that next month we will have a presentation on VirtualBox.
